LIFE is the Learning Institute Focused on the Environment, a not-for-profit organization focused on educating students to the next level of environmental awareness. LIFE's education approach uses science and engineering as the basis to increase each individual's awareness and knowledge of environmental sustainability principles.
We believe that everyone can play a key role as a conservation-minded steward of the environment. To achieve a sustainable environment, each person needs to understand how resources, industry, manufacturing, consumption, and disposal interact. By working together through education, our collective impact can make a difference.
LIFE offers a differentiated instruction, environmental education program for elementary through secondary grade levels. Our approach includes developing critical thinking skills through hands-on lessons that teach the impact of daily decisions and actions on the earth's natural resources.
LIFE was founded by professional engineers, scientists and educators with over 150 combined years of experience working in the environmental and education fields.
Our goal is to provide a science-based education program for understanding our earth, our actions and the outcomes.
